Carmen Alonso

With over 25 years of international experience in asset management and banking, Carmen Alonso is a seasoned financial executive known for her entrepreneurial leadership and expertise across corporate finance, capital markets, and asset management. She has a strong track record in deal origination, structuring, equity and debt capital raising, and mergers & acquisitions across multiple industries and geographies. Having worked in key financial hubs including London, Madrid, Zurich, New York, and Boston, she brings a distinctly global and multicultural perspective to his work.

Alonso currently serves as CEO for Europe and the Middle East at Patria Investments. Prior to joining Patria, she was Head of Iberia and the UK at Tikehau Capital, where she led investment strategies across private equity, private debt, real estate, and capital markets, while also overseeing fundraising efforts across institutional and retail investor segments. Earlier in her career, she was Managing Director at Morgan Stanley’s European Leveraged Finance practice and held roles at UBS, Merrill Lynch, HVB, and GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), where she led global corporate finance activities.

She has served on several corporate and advisory boards, including ENSO, Isotrol, and BritishAmerican Business, and currently sits on the UK Advisory Board of the global education nonprofit Room to Read. Passionate about workplace diversity, she was a founding member of Level 20’s Spanish chapter, launched in 2018, where she spearheaded networking initiatives to support gender diversity in private equity.

Alonso holds an Executive Program certificate from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, an MBA from Babson College’s Franklin W. Olin Graduate School of Business, and a BsBA in Finance and International Management from Boston University’s School of Management.
