Cameron Hanes

Cameron Hanes is an American bowhunter, endurance athlete, author and outdoorsman best known for his relentless pursuit of backcountry bowhunting in the remote wildernesses of the American West and Alaska. With a passion for wild places and a dedication to self-mastery, Hanes has built a lifestyle and following rooted in mental toughness, physical preparation and the love of the hunt.

Hanes is the author of "Backcountry Bowhunting: A Guide to the Wild Side," a comprehensive guide to preparing for and executing successful backcountry hunts. He has also written "Endure: How to Work Hard, Outlast, and Keep Hammering," a bestselling memoir that blends personal stories with lessons on mental toughness, perseverance and self-discipline, as well as, "Undeniable: How to Reach the Top and Stay There."

To prepare for bow season, Hanes trains year-round. He lifts weights seven days a week, shoots his bow daily and runs ultra-marathons—often covering distances of 100 miles through rugged mountain terrain. His goal, which he openly acknowledges as aspirational, is to become the “ultimate predator.”
