Caleb Williams

Caleb Williams, a professional football quarterback, currently plays for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL). A notable Heisman Trophy winner, Williams has also been recognized as the Maxwell Award winner, the Walter Camp Award winner, and the AP College Football Player of the Year in 2022. During his college days, Williams was a Unanimous All-American and the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year. He holds the record for the most passing touchdowns in the NCAA. Post his college football career, the USC Trojans retired his No. 13 jersey as an acknowledgement of his achievements.

Williams' professional career kicked off when he was selected first overall by the Chicago Bears in the 2024 NFL draft, making him the first quarterback selected first overall to win their season-opening NFL debut since 2002. His streak of 354 passes without throwing an interception set a new record, making it the longest by a rookie and the fourth longest for all passers. Williams' performance in his rookie season was outstanding; he set multiple Bears rookie passing records, including completions, yards, and touchdown passes. Williams successfully led the Chicago Bears to their first three-game win streak since 2020 and their first division title since 2018.

In the 2025 season, Williams made his mark by leading the Chicago Bears to their first playoff win since 2010. He set a franchise record with five comeback wins in a single season and broke the Bears' franchise single-season passing record with 3,942 yards. Williams' ability to perform under pressure earned him the nickname "Iceman" from his teammate Luther Burden III. Williams continues to be an influential player in the NFL, holding records for fewest interceptions through 1,000 career passing attempts and most consecutive passing attempts without an interception by a rookie. His performance and resilience have led to him setting records for passing, rushing, and receiving in a single game. Williams is the founder of the Caleb Williams’ Foundation, which is dedicated to eliminating bullying and increasing mental health awareness.
