Caitlin Allen

Caitlin Allen is a go-to-market executive and the senior vice president of market at Simbe Robotics, where she leads brand, communications, and commercial strategy for the company at the intersection of artificial intelligence, robotics, and retail technology. With two decades of experience scaling companies, Allen has worked extensively in B2B and B2B2C markets, applying both entrepreneurial and strategic approaches to organizational growth.

Allen's career includes roles across the technology sector. She served as a partner at Andreessen Horowitz and as director of enterprise marketing at Lyft during its pre- and post-IPO phase, managing brand development during a period of significant growth and public attention. Allen also held top marketing positions at Happy Returns, which was acquired by PayPal, and at Intangent, which merged with Argano, contributing to three successful exits, including one IPO and two acquisitions. Earlier, she founded Clear Content Marketing, later acquired by Skyword, demonstrating her experience in both startup and corporate environments.

At Simbe Robotics, Allen leads the company's flagship "Store Intelligence" platform, which includes "Tally," an autonomous, item-scanning retail robot, and "Tally Spot," a fixed sensor solution providing retailers with near real-time inventory visibility. Allen is recognized for her insights on retail automation, participating in industry panels with leaders from Chef Robotics, Dexterity, and Formic Technologies, and contributing thought leadership to Retail Customer Experience and Retail Brew. Her perspective on the mainstream adoption of robotics in retail is widely referenced in the industry.

In addition to her work in retail technology, Allen is an advocate for workplace equity. She co-founded OPEN Imperative (Organizations for Pay Equity Now), a coalition of high-growth employers, venture capitalists, and business leaders focused on closing the gender pay gap in the startup sector. Under Allen's leadership, the coalition grew to more than 400 members and achieved a collective gender pay gap significantly lower than the national average. Allen holds a bachelor's degree in English and Spanish from UCLA and has completed further studies at Stanford Continuing Studies.
