Bridgit Mendler

Bridgit Mendler is a platinum-selling songwriter, recording artist, actress, and entrepreneur whose career spans entertainment, law, and space technology. She first gained widespread recognition as the star of Disney Channel’s Emmy Award–winning series “Good Luck Charlie,” and later appeared in NBC’s comedy series “Undateable.” As a musician, Mendler achieved platinum songwriting success and built a following through pop-influenced recordings that complemented her work in television.

In 2023, Mendler co-founded Northwood Space with Griffin Cleverly and Shaurya Luthra. The company focuses on developing infrastructure for space communications by manufacturing ultra-wideband gateways designed to create a high-capacity data highway connecting Earth and satellites. Based in El Segundo, California, Northwood Space seeks to reduce bottlenecks in satellite backhaul and support the expanding commercial space ecosystem.

From 2017 to 2023, Mendler worked as a director and researcher at the MIT Media Lab, where she explored technologies that promote inclusive governance, civic collaboration, and digital citizen engagement. During this period, she also earned her Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School and served as co-president of the Harvard Space Law Society, reflecting her interdisciplinary interests in technology policy, law, and emerging space regulation.

Beyond her academic and entrepreneurial work, Mendler has been active in social advocacy. She previously served as an artist ambassador for Save the Children, promoting early childhood education initiatives and related legislation.
