Henry Ward

Henry Ward is the CEO and co-founder of Carta, a technology company specializing in equity management and ownership solutions for founders, investors, and employees. Under Ward's leadership, Carta has become a platform for more than 50,000 companies and thousands of investment funds, managing hundreds of billions of dollars in equity and facilitating liquidity through tender offer solutions. The company has been recognized on Forbes World’s Best Cloud Companies, Fast Company’s Most Innovative list, and Inc. Fastest-Growing Private Companies.

Ward’s career includes experience in technical and entrepreneurial roles. Before founding Carta, Ward was founder and CEO of Secondsight, a portfolio optimization platform for retail investors, and held leadership positions at software firms such as Reddwerks Inc. and BetweenMarkets. Ward holds a Bachelor of General Studies in mathematics and computer science from the University of Michigan and a Master of Science in market finance from EDHEC Business School.
