Brianna Decker

Brianna Decker commenced her career as a professional ice hockey forward, before transitioning into a coaching role. She serves as an assistant coach for the Minnesota Frost of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL), and also held coaching positions for the USA U18 women's team and the Shattuck-St. Mary's Girls Prep team. Decker's prowess on the ice was evident from her days playing college ice hockey at Wisconsin, where she was awarded the Patty Kazmaier Award in 2012.

Decker's stellar performance on the field continued into her professional career. She made a mark in the National Women's Hockey League (NWHL) by scoring the first hat trick in the league's history in 2015. Her consistent performance earned her the title of NWHL Most Valuable Player twice, for the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons. Decker's contributions to the United States women's national ice hockey team were rewarded with two Olympic gold medals in 2018 and 2022, and a silver medal in 2014.

Post-retirement, Decker continued to make significant impacts in the world of ice hockey. She was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2025. Decker also demonstrated the premier passing drill at the NHL All-Star Skills Competition, achieving the fastest time among participants. She announced her retirement from USA Hockey in 2023, after an illustrious career with 81 goals and 170 points in 147 games. She ranked fourth in IIHF Women's World Championship all-time scoring with 68 points. Decker's dedication to the sport also extended to advocacy, as she participated in the #ForTheGame movement with the Professional Women's Hockey Players Association (PWHPA), advocating for equitable treatment in the sport.
