Breanna Stewart

Breanna Stewart is recognized for her significant achievements in women's basketball, with a record of success at the collegiate, professional, and international levels. Stewart is a four-time NCAA champion and four-time Most Outstanding Player of the NCAA Tournament, becoming the first athlete of any gender to earn both distinctions in each of her four seasons. While at the University of Connecticut, the Huskies achieved a 151-5 record, including two undefeated seasons. Stewart is a three-time recipient of the Naismith College Player of the Year and AP College Player of the Year awards. Her transition to the professional game established her as a leading figure in the WNBA.

Stewart was selected as the first overall pick in the WNBA Draft by the Seattle Storm. In her debut season, she earned both the Rookie of the Year Award and the ESPY Award for Best Female Athlete. Stewart led the Storm to a WNBA title, averaging 21.8 points and 8.4 rebounds per game in the regular season, and became the first player to be named both league and Finals MVP in the same year. She is a three-time WNBA champion, three-time Olympic gold medalist, two-time WNBA MVP, two-time WNBA Finals MVP, six-time All-WNBA First Team selection, and six-time WNBA All-Star. Stewart was named to The W25, recognizing the top 25 players in the WNBA's first 25 years.

Stewart later joined the New York Liberty, where she contributed to the franchise's first WNBA title. Over two seasons with New York, she averaged 21.8 points, 8.9 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.6 steals, and 1.4 blocks per game, setting franchise records. Stewart became the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 3,000 points with a single franchise, achieving the milestone in 145 games. Internationally, she is a three-time EuroLeague Women champion, EuroLeague MVP, and has won national league titles in Russia and Turkey.

In addition to her basketball career, Stewart has played a role in advancing women's sports business. TIME recognized Stewart and co-founder Napheesa Collier on its TIME100 list for their work with Unrivaled, a women's professional 3-on-3 basketball league. Stewart led her Mist BC team to the Unrivaled championship, earning Championship MVP honors while averaging 21.4 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 3.0 assists in 14 games. She has a signature shoe with Puma, the Puma Stewie.

Stewart is also known for her advocacy and public service. She shared her experience as a survivor of childhood sexual abuse in The Players' Tribune and launched a national campaign to support other survivors. Stewart serves on RAINN's National Leadership Council, working to end sexual violence. She has used her platform to advocate for increased media coverage of women's sports and continues to be an influential voice in sports and social advocacy.
