Brady Tkachuk

Brady Tkachuk, current captain for the Ottawa Senators in the National Hockey League (NHL), has made his mark in the world of ice hockey since his entry into the league. Drafted fourth overall by the Ottawa Senators in the 2018 NHL entry draft, Tkachuk quickly demonstrated his skills on the ice, earning All-Hockey East Rookie Team honors while playing for Boston University and eventually being named to the NHL All-Rookie Team in the 2018-2019 season. His performance continued to impress, leading to his selection for the NHL All-Star Game in 2020, 2022, 2023, and 2024.

Not only has Tkachuk made significant strides in his NHL career, but he also boasts an impressive international record. Representing the United States in multiple tournaments, he has played an instrumental role in securing several victories for the country. He captained the U.S. under-18 national team to gold at the 2017 IIHF World U18 Championships and won a bronze medal with the U.S. under-20 national team at the 2018 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships. Further, Tkachuk was selected to captain Team USA at the 2024 IIHF World Championship.

Acknowledging his leadership and contribution to the team, Tkachuk was named the tenth captain in Senators franchise history in November 2021, a role he continues to fulfill. In the 2024-25 NHL season, he showcased his relentless drive on the ice, scoring 29 goals and making 26 assists for the Senators. His talent and commitment to the sport have not gone unnoticed, and he has been named to Team USA's roster for the 2026 Winter Olympics. Outside of hockey, he co-hosts the "Wingmen" podcast alongside his brother, Matthew Tkachuk.
