Brady Corbet

Brady Corbet is a filmmaker and actor whose work has gained him recognition in the global cinema scene. He made his directorial debut with "The Childhood of a Leader" in 2015, a film that earned him the Luigi De Laurentiis Award for a Debut Film at the Venice International Film Festival and the Orizzonti Award for Best Director. Corbet's next film, the musical drama "Vox Lux" in 2018, further solidified his standing as a competent director, earning him a nomination for the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival.

Corbet's most notable work is the period epic "The Brutalist" released in 2024, which has become a benchmark in his career. This film not only earned him the Silver Lion at the Venice International Film Festival but also won him the Best Director award at both the Golden Globe and BAFTA Awards. His work on "The Brutalist" resulted in Academy Award nominations for Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Original Screenplay. The film, described as an homage to "Fountainhead," stars Adrien Brody and has been likened to this century's "The Godfather" by The Irish Times.
