Bobby Labonte

Bobby Labonte is recognized as one of the most accomplished drivers in NASCAR history. A 32-time NASCAR race winner, Labonte is one of only four drivers to win championships in both the Xfinity Series and the NASCAR Cup Series, securing the Xfinity Series Championship and the NASCAR Cup Series Championship during his career. He also added the IROC Series Championship to his list of achievements. Labonte's 21 Cup Series wins include three crown jewel races: the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and the Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway.

Labonte's journey to the top of stock car racing was marked by persistence and determination. He competed in a variety of cars before earning a full-time premier series opportunity. After an early stint with Bill Davis Racing, Labonte joined Joe Gibbs Racing, where he achieved all 21 of his Cup Series wins from 1995 to 2005. His championship season was noted for consistent performance, including victories in the Brickyard 400 and Southern 500, and he ultimately secured the series crown by a significant points margin. Early in his tenure at Joe Gibbs Racing, Labonte was diagnosed with Graves' disease, an immune system disorder, but after treatment, he returned to victory lane and continued to build a Hall of Fame career.

Labonte was inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame, joining his brother as one of only two pairs of siblings to receive this honor. He was also named among NASCAR's 75 Greatest Drivers. Labonte's career extended internationally when he became the first NASCAR Champion to compete in a full season of the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series. He has also participated in events such as the Goodwood Festival of Speed and Autosport International.

Labonte remains active in motorsports as a FOX NASCAR analyst, contributing to NASCAR Race Hub and NASCAR RaceDay. He has reunited with Joe Gibbs Racing in a consulting role, supporting business operations, sponsor relations, and brand initiatives. Labonte also founded the Bobby Labonte Foundation, which supports North Carolina organizations focused on children and families through an annual grant program. The foundation has raised and donated significant funds through grassroots efforts.
