Bob Safian Biography
Bob Safian is the host of the podcast Rapid Response, named by The New York Times as one of its "Podcasts for the Pandemic Era" and honored as one of the 2025 Best Business Podcasts by The Ambies. Guests on the show include CEOs from Airbnb to Hinge, GM to Khan Academy, Starbucks to the WNBA.
Safian was the first editor-in-chief to put Mark Zuckerberg on a magazine cover as the leader of Fast Company, which he oversaw for eleven years. Previously, Safian served as an executive editor at Fortune and at TIME. As founder of The Flux Group, an advisory group driving awareness of new business practices, Safian directly counsels Fortune 100 firms, startups and nonprofits across multiple industries.
A journalist at heart, Safian has appeared numerous times on TV outlets including "CBS This Morning," MSNBC’s "Morning Joe" and CNBC’s "Squawk Box." He has shared insights at industry-leading forums around the world and interviewed dozens of CEOs and celebrities on stage, from Serena Williams to Princess Reema Bint Bandar, Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to the U.S.
An honors graduate of Brown University, Safian is married and has three sons.
