Aron Ain

Aron Ain is a software technology executive, author, and thought leader in workforce management and human capital management. Ain joined Kronos Incorporated and contributed to nearly every functional department, developing a comprehensive understanding of operations that shaped his leadership approach. He was named chief executive officer and a member of the Kronos Board of Directors, later leading the company through a transition from a public to a private entity. Under Ain's leadership, Kronos underwent a significant transformation, shifting from a licensed-software model to a cloud, software-as-a-service (SaaS) model.

As CEO, Ain prioritized employee engagement as a growth strategy, resulting in increased global engagement scores and substantial revenue growth. He implemented progressive employee benefits, including open vacation time and student loan repayment, influencing workplace culture at Kronos. Ain played a key role in the merger of Kronos and Ultimate Software to form UKG, establishing one of the largest private software companies globally. The merged company launched with more than 13,000 employees and $3 billion in revenue.

UKG became the first newly merged entity to appear on the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For list, debuting at number 6. With 50,000 organizations using its solutions in more than 115 countries, UKG is recognized as a leading provider of cloud-based HCM, payroll, HR service delivery, and workforce management solutions. Ain has received several awards for his leadership, including Glassdoor's Highest Rated CEO honor, Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year award, the Mass Technology Leadership Council's CEO of the Year award, and the Ray Stata Leadership and Innovation award from the Massachusetts High Technology Council.

Ain is the author of the book "WorkInspired: How to Build an Organization Where Everyone Loves to Work," which details how employee engagement can drive business strategy and leadership development for senior leaders, HR professionals, and people managers. The book received the Axiom Business Book Award Silver Medal in Leadership and was named a Soundview Best Business Book. Ain frequently speaks on topics such as employee engagement, people strategy, entrepreneurship, and leading global organizations.

Ain serves as executive chair of the UKG Board of Directors and as operating partner at Hellman & Friedman. In these roles, he works with UKG customers and partners, supports the leadership team, and promotes the UKG brand. Ain brings more than 40 years of leadership experience in global workforce management and human capital management to Hellman & Friedman and its portfolio companies.
