Aria Florant

Aria Florant is co-founder and CEO of Liberation Ventures, a philanthropic and field-building organization supporting the Black-led movement for racial repair in the United States. Through her leadership, Liberation Ventures provides resources and technical assistance to initiatives focused on truth, reconciliation, and reparations, contributing to the development of comprehensive federal financial and non-financial racial repair programs. Florant's work centers on advancing racial repair and the movement for federal reparations for Black Americans.

Before founding Liberation Ventures, Florant served as an engagement manager at McKinsey and Company in Washington, D.C., where she consulted public and social sector clients on strategy, organizational design, racial equity, and financial sustainability. Her consulting contributed to the development of the McKinsey Institute for Black Economic Mobility. Earlier in her career, she worked as an education consultant at the Obama Foundation and the San Mateo County Private Defender Program.

Florant is recognized as a thought leader in racial equity and reparations. She is an Atlantic Fellow for Racial Equity and serves on the national board of directors of Public Allies, a nonprofit dedicated to building a just and equitable society. Florant has spoken publicly about navigating internal conflict within nonprofits, sharing insights on power dynamics and organizational culture in her leadership at Liberation Ventures. Through her work and public engagement, she advances conversations about reparations and racial repair at national forums and speaking engagements.
