Andrew Nembhard

Andrew Nembhard is a Canadian professional basketball player who serves as a point guard for the Indiana Pacers in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He has emerged as a key contributor for the Pacers, particularly noted for his defensive prowess and clutch performances in the playoffs.

Nembhard attended Montverde Academy in Florida, a prestigious basketball program where he helped lead the team to a national championship at the Geico Nationals tournament. He began his collegiate basketball journey at the University of Florida, starting all 67 games over two seasons. He averaged 9.5 points and 5.5 assists per game, earning SEC All-Freshman honors. In 2020, he transferred to Gonzaga University; during his time with the Bulldogs, he was named the West Coast Conference's Sixth Man of the Year and later earned First Team All-WCC honors.

Nembhard was selected 31st overall in the second round of the 2022 NBA Draft by the Indiana Pacers. In his rookie season, he made headlines with a buzzer-beating three-pointer to defeat the Los Angeles Lakers and a career-high 31-point game against the Golden State Warriors. His performance earned him a spot in the 2023 NBA Rising Stars game.

During the 2025 NBA Playoffs, Nembhard elevated his game, particularly noted for his defensive assignments against top players and his improved three-point shooting. He played a crucial role in the Pacers' run to the NBA Finals, often tasked with guarding elite scorers and providing timely offense.

Nembhard has represented Canada at various levels, including the U-16, U-17, and U-18 teams. He made his senior national team debut at the 2019 FIBA World Cup and was named to Canada's roster for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
