Amanda Morgan

Amanda Morgan, MS, is a nationally recognized early childhood education expert, author, speaker, and founder of Not Just Cute, a platform dedicated to intentional, whole-child development for parents and teachers of young children. Morgan holds a dual Bachelor of Arts in elementary and early childhood education and a Master of Science in human development with an emphasis on child development from Utah State University. Her classroom experience spans preschool through sixth grade in private, public, and migrant school settings, providing practical knowledge for her work as a consultant, trainer, and keynote speaker.

Morgan is the author of "Not Just Cute: How Powerful Play Drives Development in Early Childhood," a research-based book that outlines the importance of guided play in high-quality early education. The book, featuring a foreword by Dale C. Farran, PhD, translates developmental theory into practical strategies for educators and parents. Morgan also created and hosts "Not Just Cute, the Podcast," which explores topics such as play-based learning, child agency, emotional development, and classroom leadership.

Morgan has worked with early childhood groups across the United States and Canada, delivering keynotes, trainings, and professional development sessions for audiences ranging from small workshops to conferences of more than 900 attendees. Her professional development offerings include the "Powerful Play Foundations" course, designed to help early childhood teams build confidence and align around intentional, play-based practice.
