Aliza Pressman

Dr. Aliza Pressman combines science and heart to empower parents to raise good humans.

Pressman is a a developmental psychologist with nearly two decades of experience working with families and the health care providers who care for them. She is the co-founding director of The Mount Sinai Parenting Center and is an Associate Clinical professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital. She is also the author of the New York Times bestselling book "THE 5 PRINCIPLES OF PARENTING: Your Essential Guide to Raising Good Humans," and the host of the award-winning podcast "Raising Good Humans."

She holds a BA from Dartmouth College, an MA in Risk, Resilience and Prevention from the Department of Human Development at Teacher’s College and her PhD in developmental psychology from Columbia University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. Pressman also holds a teaching certification in mindfulness and meditation from The Greater Good Science Center at the University of California at Berkeley.

Dr. Aliza Pressman is a sought-after speaker and has spoken at many public and private schools, parenting groups, organizational conferences including YPO, Aspen Ascend Conference, American Academy of Pediatrics, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Society for Research on Child Development, and major corporations including Chanel: Parents at Chanel, Ralph Lauren, Colgate-Palmolive, Simpson Thacher and others.

She is surrounded by four teenagers: her two daughters and two stepchildren.
