Alan Greene

Alan Greene, MD, FAAP, is a board-certified pediatrician and health technology pioneer whose career focuses on making medical knowledge accessible to families. Greene graduated from Princeton University and the University of California at San Francisco, completed his pediatric residency at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland, and serves as an adjunct professor of pediatrics at Stanford University School of Medicine. After his residency, Greene served as chief resident before entering private practice, where his work with Silicon Valley families contributed to the integration of medicine and technology.

Encouraged by parents working in health and technology, Greene founded DrGreene.com, recognized by the American Medical Association as a pioneering physician website. The site has reached more than 100 million unique users, including parents, family members, students, and health care professionals. Its mission is to connect children's health with environmental health and empower parents to become informed partners in their children's care. Greene has continued to advance digital health by co-founding doc.ai, later acquired by ShareCare, and launching DrGreene.AI, which is available in six languages and serves a global audience.

Greene is a co-founder of the e-Patient movement and was the founding president of the Society for Participatory Medicine. He founded the WhiteOut Movement to address infant nutrition in the United States and established TICC TOCC—Transitioning Immediate Cord Clamping To Optimal Cord Care. Greene also co-founded La Conexión, a nonprofit organization connecting physicians, health technology, and resources from the United States to support healthcare workers in underserved countries. He has served as president and board chair of Hi-Ethics (Health Internet Ethics), is a past president of The Organic Center, and is a founding partner of the Collaborative on Health and the Environment.

Greene is the author of several books, including "Feeding Baby Green," "Raising Baby Green," "From First Kicks to First Steps," and the children's book "Flower Moon." He has received the Healthy Child Healthy World Prevention Award and Intel's "Children's Health Hero of the Internet" award, and has been recognized by Advance for Health Information Executives as one of the Top 25 Most Influential Forces in Healthcare. Greene is a frequent keynote speaker at events such as TEDx Berkeley, TEDx Brussels, Health 2.0, and the European Internet health conference. His media appearances include the TODAY Show, Good Morning America, The Dr. Oz Show, CNN, NPR, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and Time Magazine. Greene's work at the intersection of pediatrics, digital health, and public health continues to influence children's wellness and health technology innovation.
