Aisha Bowe

Aisha Bowe is a former NASA rocket scientist, two-time founder, and astronaut who was part of the crew for Blue Origin's eleventh flight to space under the New Shepard program. The launch took place on April 14, 2025. Her flight into space marks the latest milestone in a career defined by innovation, leadership, and global advocacy in STEM and entrepreneurship.

Among the less than 2% of women founders to raise over $2 million in venture capital, Bowe founded LINGO, an edtech company that already serves 10,000 students and is on a mission to equip one million learners with STEM skills over the next decade. She is also the CEO and founder of STEMBoard, a technology company,

Bowe’s journey, from discovering her passion for math in a community college pre-algebra class to preparing for space, has inspired audiences worldwide. Her story has been featured on national television, online platforms, and in print by outlets including Entrepreneur, Fast Company, Wired, and "The Kelly Clarkson Show." She was also the subject of the documentary "In Her Element."

As a U.S. State Department Global Speaker, Bowe has advocated for STEM, space, and entrepreneurship in several countries including Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, Egypt, Croatia, and South Africa. A member of the National Society of Black Engineers and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, she has earned numerous awards for her dedication to technical excellence including NASA's Engineering Honor Award, STEM for Her Woman of the Year, and Black Enterprises Luminary Award.

Bowe holds a B.S.E in Aerospace Engineering and an M. Eng. in Space Systems Engineering from the University of Michigan.
