AJ Mendez is the bestselling author of "Crazy Is My Superpower," a memoir chronicling her journey from childhood homelessness to empowered WWE champion. She is the co-founder of Scrappy Heart Productions and co-writer of Netflix’s Blade of the 47 Ronin, which reached #3 on the streamer’s Top 10 Movies List. As an actor, AJ is currently appearing on the drama series Heels and the upcoming comedy feature Sacramento.

Mendez is a bestselling author, mental health and animal rights advocate, and former professional wrestler recognized for her tenure in WWE as AJ Lee, where she held the Divas Championship three times. Mendez received the Slammy Award for Diva of the Year twice and was voted Woman of the Year by readers of Pro Wrestling Illustrated for three consecutive years.

After retiring from in-ring competition due to permanent cervical spine damage, Mendez shifted her focus to writing.
