Zimi Meka

Zimi Meka is the chief executive officer and a founding director of Ausenco, a global engineering and project management firm specializing in the minerals and metals, oil and gas, and industrial sectors. With more than four decades of experience, Meka has contributed to the transformation of Ausenco from its Australian origins into an international enterprise, employing over 3,000 professionals across 26 offices in 14 countries. His leadership approach emphasizes cultural understanding, strategic thinking, and the empowerment of diverse teams, supporting innovation and sustainable growth within the company.

Throughout his career, Meka has been recognized for his technical expertise and approach to business. He has received several honors, including being named Queensland University of Technology’s Alumnus of the Year, receiving the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy’s Institute Medal, and being listed multiple times among Australia’s Top 100 Most Influential Engineers by Engineers Australia.
