Zane

Kristina LaFerne Roberts, known by her pen name Zane, is a best-selling author renowned for her provocative erotic fiction that centers on African-American characters. Her work has been recognized for creating spaces where Black female characters can explore desire and empowerment.

Zane began her literary journey in 1997 while living in North Carolina. Working as a sales representative and raising her children, she started writing erotic stories in her spare time. Sharing these stories online, she quickly amassed a dedicated following. Her self-published debut, "The Sex Chronicles: Shattering the Myth," gained significant attention, leading to a publishing deal with Simon & Schuster. Her subsequent novel, "Addicted," became a bestseller and was later adapted into a feature film by Lionsgate in 2014. She has authored nearly 40 books.

In addition to her writing, Zane founded Strebor Books International, a publishing house that became an imprint of Simon & Schuster. Through Strebor, she has published works by numerous authors, expanding the reach of African-American literature.

Zane's influence extends to television as well. Her work inspired the Cinemax series "Zane's Sex Chronicles" and "Zane's The Jump Off," bringing her narratives to a broader audience.
