Zak Mirz

Zak Mirz is a magician known for integrating personal storytelling with the art of illusion. A first-generation American whose parents immigrated from Iran and Afghanistan, Mirz has developed a career that blends his cultural heritage with contemporary magic performance. After the loss of his father at age one, Mirz found solace in magic, which evolved from a therapeutic outlet into a professional pursuit. His interest in magic began after watching David Blaine perform a card trick as a child, an experience that influenced his career path.

Mirz served as the magic advisor for David Blaine's special, "The Magic Way," and successfully fooled Penn & Teller on the TV show "Penn & Teller: Fool Us." He has been recognized as "Best Magician" by Dallas Observer and is a recipient of the Rising Star in Magic Award. These honors highlight his technical skill and his ability to engage audiences.

Mirz competed as a magician in Season 20 of "America's Got Talent," advancing to the Semifinals. His Semifinal performance featured an interactive routine inspired by experiences he never shared with his father, earning standing ovations from judges Howie Mandel and Mel B. His work also includes an appearance on Travel Channel's "Magic Caught On Camera" and the creation of a deck of cards designed to raise awareness and funds to combat human trafficking.

Mirz's first full-length magic show, "Ticket for One," is available on YouTube. His live touring show, "Flashes of Magic," offers interactive illusions and storytelling for audiences of all ages. He has also presented "Kid@❤️" in theaters, an interactive, family-friendly magic show where the audience determines the direction of the performance. Mirz customizes his live shows for families, adults, colleges, and high school students, establishing himself as a versatile entertainer in the magic and live performance industry.
