Zacari

Zacari Pacaldo is an American singer, songwriter, rapper, and multi-instrumentalist known for a sound that blends soulful R&B with electronic-infused hip-hop. By age eight, Pacaldo was enrolled in a school for performing arts, where he began learning guitar, drums, saxophone, and keyboards. He worked seasonally as a fishing guide in an Alaskan national park, using his earnings to enroll in music school in Los Angeles. Pacaldo furthered his musical education at the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles.

During his time in Los Angeles, Pacaldo began posting original songs online and collaborated with artists such as Ab-Soul, Larry June, Kembe X, and Isaiah Rashad, contributing saxophone session work and vocals. His breakthrough came when he pitched his song "Lovely" to Kendrick Lamar, who reworked it as "Love" on the album "DAMN." The track reached number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was certified 4× Platinum by the RIAA.

Pacaldo has been featured on various Top Dawg Entertainment albums, including "The Sun's Tirade," "Do What Thou Wilt.," "DAMN.," and "Black Panther: The Album." After signing with Top Dawg Entertainment, he released his debut single on the label, "Don't Trip." His first solo project under the label, the EP "Run Wild Run Free," showcased a blend of R&B grooves and soulful undertones.

Pacaldo's collaborations include work with Skrillex, SiR, Isabella, Blxst, and Denzel Curry. He released the EP "SOL," as well as singles such as "Do Better" and "Motions" with Ab-Soul. His full-length debut, "Bliss," features singles including "Lonewolf Still," "Destiny," and "Faith + Sight" with BEAM. Pacaldo's songwriting portfolio includes more than 145 lyricist credits across various projects, with over 20 contributions to the Top Dawg Entertainment catalog through compositions for labelmates and soundtracks. His instrumental skills, vocal range, and collaborative approach have established Pacaldo as a versatile artist in contemporary hip-hop and R&B.
