Yehuda Baruch

Yehuda Baruch is a professor of management at Southampton Business School, University of Southampton, and an affiliated professor at Audencia in Nantes, France. Baruch holds a DSc from the Technion in Israel and completed postdoctoral training at City University and London Business School. His academic career includes teaching and research roles at institutions such as the University of East Anglia and Rouen Business School, with a focus on careers, human resource management, and organizational studies.

Baruch's research covers topics including career ecosystems, global human resource management, employability, and labor market dynamics. He has published more than 175 refereed papers in journals such as Journal of Management, Academy of Management Annals, Human Resource Management, and Journal of Vocational Behavior. Baruch is also the author of six books and approximately 50 book chapters. His books, including "Managing Careers: Theory and Practice" and "Managing Careers and Employability," are widely used in the field for their integration of academic research and practical application.

Baruch has held leadership positions in academic organizations, serving as chair of the Careers Division of the Academy of Management, vice president for research of the European Academy of Management, associate editor of Human Resource Management, and editor of Group & Organization Management. He is dean of the Peer Review College of the British Academy of Management and consulting editor of Journal of International Business Studies. Baruch has also been a member of the research committee of the Chartered Association of Business Schools and served as associate dean for research at Rouen Business School.

Baruch has received honors such as the Cooper Medal for Outstanding Contribution and Leadership from the British Academy of Management and the Hughes Lifetime Scholar Award from the Academy of Management's Careers Division. He is a fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences and the British Academy of Management.
