Wolfgang Lehmacher

Wolfgang Lehmacher is a supply chain and technology strategist with extensive experience in executive leadership, advisory roles, and thought leadership across the logistics and transportation industries. Lehmacher began his career with the German Red Cross before moving into leadership positions at international supply chain solutions providers such as Kuehne & Nagel. He later held senior management roles at TNT, including country general manager of Switzerland and director of the Eastern Europe and Eastern Mediterranean region. Lehmacher also served as president and chief executive officer of GeoPost Intercontinental, the international expansion and network vehicle of French Groupe La Poste, and as a member of the board of GeoPost, the express parcel holding of Groupe La Poste.

Lehmacher joined the World Economic Forum to develop the supply chain and transport industries portfolio. He has contributed to public discourse through writing and speaking engagements at events such as the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, the Global Leadership Lecture Series at MIT, and the Institute for Manufacturing at the University of Cambridge. Lehmacher collaborates with stakeholders across the global supply chain ecosystem, from startups to asset owners and Fortune 50 companies, and has served on boards of directors and advisory boards internationally, supporting major change initiatives in the industry.

Lehmacher has co-authored more than 10 books, 20 papers, and 100 articles. He has been recognized as a Marine Traffic top influencer, a LinkedIn top voice, and a Quora top writer.

Lehmacher advocates for sustainability and the circular economy, participating in EU-funded projects such as CIRPASS, a digital product passport initiative, and BALTIC-FIT, which supports maritime transport in the Baltic Sea Region in meeting decarbonization targets. He serves on the ethical committee for Dynex Moonshots, guiding neuromorphic quantum computing cloud initiatives. Lehmacher is the founder and co-host of the Supply Chain Innovation Network and serves as a member of the advisory board of The Logistics and Supply Chain Management Society in Singapore, ambassador of the European Freight and Logistics Leaders Forum in Brussels, founding member of the Logistikweisen expert committee under the patronage of the German Federal Ministry BMDV, and member of NEXST, a think tank initiated by Reefknot, Kuehne & Nagel, and SGInnovate in Singapore.
