Willie Bodrick II

Rev. Willie Bodrick II, J.D., M.Div., serves as the senior pastor of Twelfth Baptist Church in Boston’s Roxbury neighborhood and is president and CEO of The American City Coalition. Bodrick leads one of Boston’s oldest congregations, guiding it through significant milestones, including its 184th anniversary. His leadership emphasizes social justice, community engagement, and innovative ministry, including virtual outreach, establishing a vaccination clinic in partnership with Boston Medical Center, and directing community relief efforts that distributed more than $375,000 in aid and provided meals to over 15,000 residents.

Bodrick’s career blends ministry, law, and civic leadership. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Georgetown University, a Master of Divinity from Harvard Divinity School, and a Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law. His professional experience includes roles as an attorney at Brown Rudnick LLP, senior advisor to the Ed Markey U.S. Senate campaign, and outreach coordinator for the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office. As vice president of the SAMH Corporation, Bodrick oversees housing, youth, and enrichment programs, focusing on holistic community development.

Bodrick is a public speaker and advocate who has received honors such as an honorary Doctorate of Community Service from Northeastern University and recognition as one of The Boston Foundation’s 20 Leaders of the 2020s.
