Walt Frazier

Walt “Clyde” Frazier is a Basketball Hall of Famer, two-time NBA Champion, and one of the most influential point guards in the history of professional basketball. Renowned for his leadership, poise under pressure, and championship mindset, Frazier remains an enduring icon of excellence both on and off the court.

A standout collegiate athlete at Southern Illinois University, Frazier led his team to the 1967 National Invitation Tournament (NIT) championship and earned tournament MVP honors. That success propelled him to the NBA, where he was selected fifth overall by the New York Knicks in the 1967 NBA Draft.

Frazier became the cornerstone of the Knicks’ golden era, leading the franchise to NBA championships in 1970 and 1973. Known for his elite two-way play, he was a seven-time NBA All-Star, a four-time All-NBA First Team selection, and a seven-time NBA All-Defensive First Team honoree. His legendary performance in Game 7 of the 1970 NBA Finals is widely regarded as one of the greatest clutch performances in sports history.

Beyond the court, Frazier was a trailblazer in sports culture and personal branding, becoming one of the first athletes to have a signature sneaker—the iconic Puma Clyde—and earning recognition for his individuality, confidence, and style.
