Wali Collins

Wali Collins is a New York City-based stand-up comedian, actor, producer, and author known for his versatility across the entertainment industry. Before focusing on comedy, Collins pursued music as a drummer, performing in R&B, pop, funk, and jazz bands, and became the youngest musician to join the New England Jazz Society. After college, he initially considered a career in architecture before transitioning to show business. Collins began his stand-up career after a successful first performance that led to regular featured spots at a local club.

Collins gained national attention when he moved to New York City to host Comedy Central's "Stand-up Stand-up," a showcase for stand-up comedians. His television credits include appearances on NBC, CBS, FOX, HBO, ABC's "The View," Comedy Central's "Tough Crowd," VH1, Netflix, and Hulu. Collins was invited by David Letterman to warm up the audience for his show, which led to a stand-up performance on "The Late Show with David Letterman." His work has also been recognized by GQ Magazine.

In addition to stand-up, Collins has acted in films and television series, including "Coyote Ugly," "Top Five," "Submission," "The Get Down," "Difficult People," and the Oxygen Network series "Crazy Love." He appeared in the sitcom "Spin City" and hosted the PBS series special "Wild TV." Collins has also been featured in more than 30 national and international television commercials.

He has worked with major brands such as PepsiCo, Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, L'Oréal, Motorola, Verizon, and Buick. He has hosted events for prominent figures, including First Lady Michelle Obama and both Presidents Bush and Obama. Collins has been nominated multiple times as College Campus Entertainer of the Year.
