Virginie Berger

Virginie Berger is a music and technology executive whose career spans more than two decades at the intersection of rights management, digital strategy, and music business innovation. Berger has held pivotal roles at Downtown Music-Songtrust, Armonia, Myspace, and Microsoft, contributing to revenue generation, strategic alliances, and the advancement of artists' rights. Before establishing her own ventures, Berger worked for Microsoft, NRJ, and Myspace, where she served as marketing and content director during the platform's early presence in France.

Berger founded DBTH (Don't Believe The Hype), a creative and development agency supporting international brands entering France and Europe. The agency specializes in digital strategies for individual artists, creative industries, and emerging entertainment technologies, focusing on branding, globalization, and consumer engagement. Berger also served as SVP of Global Publishing at Songtrust (Downtown Music Group) and CEO of Armonia, a collaborative venture of nine European rights organizations. As CEO of Armonia Online, she led the first pan-European licensing hub for online music, streamlining licensing and processing to facilitate fair compensation. Berger was also managing partner of DBTHCap Ventures, a venture capital fund focused on music technology, rights technology, and media technology.

Berger has served as Chief Industry and Rights Officer at Neutune, a South Korean AI music startup, where she has overseen B2B expansion, partnerships, and licensing with rightsholders. Neutune develops block-level attribution for AI-generated and hybrid music, enabling traceable provenance, structured compensation, and reliable rights tracking. Berger has also appeared at the Music Ally Connect conference, sharing her vision for a transparent and equitable AI music ecosystem. Her expertise in rights management and technology continues to influence the global music industry.
