Tyrod Taylor

Tyrod Taylor is a veteran NFL quarterback known for his longevity and resilience in professional football. Taylor played college football for the Virginia Tech Hokies and was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the sixth round of the NFL Draft. The Ravens selected Taylor based on his performance at Virginia Tech, where he earned ACC Player of the Year honors. While in Baltimore, he served as the backup to starting quarterback Joe Flacco, including during the Ravens' Super Bowl XLVII victory over the San Francisco 49ers. Though he played sparingly in his early years, Taylor used his time to develop the skills and football IQ that would eventually make him a starter.

Taylor's career reached a high point during his tenure with the Buffalo Bills. He earned a Pro Bowl appearance after completing 242 of 380 passes for 3,035 yards, 20 touchdowns, and six interceptions, while also rushing for 568 yards and four touchdowns. In his final year as the Bills' starting quarterback, Taylor helped lead Buffalo to its first playoff appearance in nearly two decades, throwing for 2,799 yards, rushing for 427 yards, and scoring 18 touchdowns. His dual-threat ability produced historic moments, including becoming the fifth quarterback in NFL history to throw for at least 100 yards, run for at least 70 yards, and catch a pass in a single game. His jersey from that game was sent to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.

Following his time in Buffalo, Taylor continued his NFL career with multiple teams, demonstrating adaptability and professionalism. He has appeared in 100 games with 62 starts across a 15-year NFL career that has included the Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Browns, Los Angeles Chargers, Houston Texans, New York Giants, and New York Jets. Throughout this period, Taylor has stepped into starting roles under challenging circumstances, maintaining a reputation for professionalism amid various teams' quarterback changes. Statistically, he is the only quarterback in NFL history with more than 10,000 passing yards, 2,000 rushing yards, 70 passing touchdowns, 20 rushing touchdowns, and fewer than 35 interceptions.

Off the field, Taylor has demonstrated entrepreneurial interests. He joined the ownership group for Westchester SC, a professional soccer club in USL League One. Taylor has also continued his NFL journey, signing with the Green Bay Packers as a backup for Jordan Love.
