Tyler Nathan Toney

Tyler Nathan Toney is an American entertainer, entrepreneur, and producer recognized as a co-founder and the on-screen leader of Dude Perfect, a prominent sports and comedy group on YouTube. Toney co-founded Dude Perfect, which is known for its trick-shot videos, sports challenges, and stereotype sketches. He is often referred to as The Beard due to his signature facial hair. Toney attended Texas A&M University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in wildlife and fisheries science.

While at Texas A&M University, Toney made a bet with a roommate that he could make a challenging basketball hook shot from behind a tree. After successfully making the shot and several more difficult ones, they filmed the attempts and uploaded them to YouTube, marking the beginning of Dude Perfect's online presence.

The group's first video, released as "Backyard Edition," received 200,000 views within a week and was mentioned on Good Morning America. Their second video, "Ranch Edition," filmed at a Christian summer camp, went viral with over 18 million views. Following its success, the group pledged to sponsor a child from Compassion International for every 100,000 views. Early momentum led to major media attention, including a segment on ESPN's E:60, with appearances on television shows such as "Pardon the Interruption," "SportsNation," "First Take," and "Around the Horn." Dude Perfect has collaborated with athletes and celebrities including Chris Paul, Drew Brees, and Luke Bryan.

Toney has played a central role in transforming Dude Perfect into a multimedia brand. He performs the intros and outros for the group's videos and is the primary trick-shot performer. Toney has contributed to multiple Guinness World Records set by Dude Perfect, including 11 records in a single episode. The group has achieved more than 30 official Guinness World Records, such as the highest basketball shot from 856 feet atop Strat Tower in Las Vegas, as well as records for blindfolded, head-mounted, and obstacle trick shots. Dude Perfect expanded into television with "The Dude Perfect Show," which premiered on CMT and later moved to Nickelodeon. The group also produces YouTube content franchises including "Stereotypes," "Overtime," and "Bucket List," and has released books, mobile games, board games, and toys.

Toney and his co-founders have continued to grow the Dude Perfect brand. The ESPN "30 for 30" documentary, "Dude Perfect: A Very Long Shot," chronicles the story of five college friends who turned backyard trick shots into a global sports-comedy phenomenon, featuring Toney prominently. Dude Perfect received a Sports Emmy Award for Outstanding Interactive Experience. "Dude Perfect: The Hero Tour" debuted on more than 800 screens across the United States, United Kingdom, Western Europe, and Australia, showcasing footage from the group's sold-out arena tour and behind-the-scenes content. The group secured a nine-figure investment from Highmount Capital to expand their business and programming.

Throughout his career, Toney has advocated for faith-based, family-friendly content. Since launching their YouTube channel as college roommates, Dude Perfect has amassed a following of over 100 million through sports entertainment content, trick shots, content franchises, live tours, and collaborations with athletes and celebrities. The group launched the first annual Trick Shot World Championship, inviting global creators to compete.
