Tyler Adams

Tyler Adams is a professional soccer player recognized for his role as a defensive midfielder. A product of the New York Red Bulls academy, Adams began his professional career with New York Red Bulls II at age 16 before advancing to the New York Red Bulls first team. Over two seasons, Adams made 81 appearances for the New York Red Bulls and contributed to the club's MLS Supporters' Shield win. His development in Major League Soccer led to a transfer to Europe.

Adams joined RB Leipzig, where he played four seasons and won the DFB-Pokal. He made more than 100 appearances for the club and scored in the 2-1 Champions League quarterfinal win over Atlético Madrid, helping Leipzig reach the semifinals. Adams later moved to Leeds United and subsequently to AFC Bournemouth, establishing himself as a Premier League midfielder.

Internationally, Adams was named captain of the United States men's national team ahead of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, becoming the youngest captain in the tournament and the youngest U.S. captain since 1950. He led the U.S. to the knockout stages and received the U.S. Soccer Male Player of the Year award for his performances. Adams has scored in the CONCACAF Nations League Final and has won three CONCACAF Nations League titles with the USMNT.

At AFC Bournemouth, Adams has been recognized as a regular starter in the English Premier League and was named Bournemouth Player of the Month. He became the first American to win the Premier League Goal of the Month award. Despite facing injuries, including back surgery and a torn MCL, Adams has maintained a reputation for resilience and leadership. His tactical intelligence and work rate have made him a key figure in the USMNT midfield and in Premier League soccer.
