Tye Tribbett Biography
Tyrone "Tye" Tribbett is a Grammy Award-winning gospel music singer, songwriter, keyboardist, choir director, and founder of the Grammy-nominated and Stellar-Award winning gospel group Tye Tribbett & G.A. (short for "Greater Anointing") of which Tribbett left in 2010 to pursue his solo career.
Tribbett toured with Faith Hill in 2000, leading to work with Will Smith, Usher, Don Henley, Justin Timberlake, and Sting. His 2013 album, Greater Than, earned him the Grammy Award for Best Gospel Album and featured the song "If He Did It Before...Same God (Live)," which won the Grammy Award for Best Gospel Song. In 2017, Tribbett released his fifth album, The Bloody Win.
Tribbett has made personal appearances in support of the Make A Wish Foundation. In 2015, he organized the Hate Won’t Win benefit concert to support charities working with survivors and families of the victims of the mass shooting in Charleston, South Carolina.
Tribbett released "All Things New," in both its mostly studio format in 2022 and a 2023 live recording of the album titled "All Things New - Live in Orlando," a live recorded album featuring live performances of tracks on his 2022 studio album of the same name, as well as songs from previous works throughout his career. He won another Grammy for Best Gospel Album.
Tribbett and Shanté, his wife, pastor the Live Church in Orlando, Florida.
