True Whitaker is an actress and writer recognized for her work in the television series "Godfather of Harlem." She is the daughter of actor, producer, and activist Forest Whitaker. The two appeared together in "Godfather of Harlem" and share an interest in film and television production.
At age 18, Whitaker relocated from Los Angeles to New York City to pursue a degree in creative writing from New York University's Gallatin School of Individualized Study. Since graduating from NYU, Whitaker has developed a treatment for a television series in collaboration with playwright, screenwriter, and director David Talbert, who serves as one of her mentors. Whitaker continues to work in both acting and writing, contributing to the entertainment industry through her creative projects.
