Tristan Thompson

Tristan Thompson is a Canadian-American NBA champion, investor, and strategic operator whose career spans more than a decade in professional basketball, as well as a growing presence in technology and venture capital. Thompson played one season of college basketball for the Texas Longhorns before being selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers as the fourth overall pick in the NBA Draft. His selection made him the highest-drafted Canadian-born player in league history at that time. He finished his rookie season with averages of 8.2 points and 6.5 rebounds, earning NBA All-Rookie second team honors and becoming the first Canadian to earn All-Rookie team honors in the NBA.

Thompson spent his first nine NBA seasons in Cleveland, where he contributed to the team's four consecutive NBA Finals appearances and the franchise's first NBA Championship. He played a key role in helping the Cavaliers overcome a 3-1 deficit against Golden State Warriors to secure the championship. In the Cleveland Cavaliers record book, Thompson ranks among the franchise's all-time leaders in offensive rebounds, total rebounds, defensive rebounds, blocks, games played, and minutes. His 447 consecutive regular season games played remains the longest streak in Cavaliers history. He is one of only four players in franchise history to accumulate at least 5,000 points and 5,000 rebounds, joining LeBron James, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, and Brad Daugherty.

Beyond basketball, Thompson has established himself as an investor and technology operator. Leveraging opportunities in Silicon Valley during road trips, Thompson attended high-level events connecting athletes and tech executives, which introduced him to artificial intelligence and led to an early-stage investment in Anthropic, an AI safety and research company. He is a co-founder, chief content officer, and lead advisor of TracyAI, an AI-powered sports analytics platform focused on athletic performance metrics and fan engagement. Thompson works with founders, funds, and public companies in AI, Bitcoin, deep tech, and infrastructure, facilitating partnerships that bridge athletes, institutions, and investors.

Thompson is also a founding partner at Introduction.com, a private, invite-only professional networking platform serving entrepreneurs, investors, and operators in finance, blockchain, artificial intelligence, and deep tech. The platform offers curated introductions, private events, and digital tools to foster business growth and partnerships. Thompson has stated that his involvement reflects the importance of relationships throughout his career in sports and investing.

Thompson's influence extends to philanthropy and advocacy. He was named a Special Olympics Global Ambassador, inspired in part by his brother Amari, who was born with disabilities. In this role, Thompson uses his platform to promote inclusion through sport. He also launched an education program called "BLOCKS 13" for students in grades six through eight, focusing on behavior, leadership, opportunity, character, knowledge, and success, to help at-risk children stay engaged in school.
