
Travis Wall is a dancer, choreographer, and instructor known for his expertise in contemporary and jazz dance. Wall began dancing in his mother's studio as a child, studying a range of styles including contemporary, lyrical, and jazz. This early training led to a role in "The Music Man" on Broadway at age 12. By his mid-teens, Wall had achieved recognition through competitive dance, winning multiple regional and national titles and choreographing routines for dance competitions.
Wall gained national attention as a finalist on the second season of Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance," where he placed second. During his time on the show, he performed in Mia Michaels' "The Bench" routine, which later earned Michaels an Emmy Award for Outstanding Choreography. Wall's performances on the show established his reputation in the dance industry.
Wall transitioned to choreography for "So You Think You Can Dance," earning multiple Emmy nominations and winning the award twice. He also won a Creative Emmy Award alongside Mandy Moore. His choreography extends to music videos, including Carrie Underwood's "Something in the Water," which won CMT Video of the Year, as well as stage shows for Justin Bieber and Demi Lovato. Wall's television credits include choreographing the Academy Awards, Disneyland's 60th Anniversary Special on ABC, the MTV Video Music Awards, and an episode of "Pretty Little Liars." His film work includes choreography for "The Wedding Ringer" and "Step Up: Revolution."
Wall starred in the Oxygen reality show "All the Right Moves," where he and fellow dancers launched Shaping Sound Dance Company. As Artistic Director of Shaping Sound, Wall brought his approach to emotional storytelling and technical precision to live audiences. In theater, Wall choreographed the Off-Broadway musical "The Wrong Man" at MCC Theater, earning the Joe A. Callaway Award for excellence in choreography, Outstanding Choreography at the Drama Desk Awards, and Outstanding Choreographer at the Outer Critics Circle Awards.
Wall's work in film and theater includes choreography for Steven Spielberg's "The Fabelmans." Throughout his career, Wall has been recognized for his ability to convey emotion through movement and for his influence on contemporary dance. He teaches masterclasses internationally, focusing on emotional authenticity in dance and inspiring new generations of performers.
