Tracy McGrady

Tracy McGrady, known as T-Mac, is recognized as one of the top scorers and shooting guards in NBA history. McGrady entered the NBA directly from high school and was selected as the ninth overall pick by the Toronto Raptors in the NBA Draft. Throughout his 15-year NBA career, McGrady developed a reputation for his versatile offensive skills and ability to score from anywhere on the court, making him a challenging matchup for defenders. Contemporaries such as Paul Pierce and Kobe Bryant have cited McGrady as one of the most difficult players to guard.

After leaving the Raptors, McGrady joined Orlando Magic, where he became a prolific scorer and a candidate for the NBA Most Valuable Player Award. He set a franchise record by scoring 62 points for Orlando and delivered a memorable performance with 13 points in the final 35 seconds to lead Houston to a comeback victory against San Antonio. McGrady captured the NBA scoring title by averaging 32.1 points per game, becoming the youngest player to do so since the NBA/ABA merger. He is a seven-time NBA All-Star, seven-time All-NBA selection, two-time NBA scoring champion, and recipient of the NBA Most Improved Player Award. In addition to playing for Toronto and Orlando, McGrady also competed with Houston, New York, Detroit, and Atlanta before retiring from the NBA. He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

McGrady co-founded the Darfur Dream Team Sister School Program, which raised over $1 million for primary school education in refugee camps, impacting thousands of children, classrooms, and teachers.

Since retiring from professional basketball, McGrady has remained active in the sports industry. He founded the Ones Basketball League, a competitive platform for one-on-one basketball players. McGrady and his cousin Vince Carter joined the Buffalo Bills' ownership group as limited partners. He has also served as an NBA studio analyst, sharing his expertise on basketball and sports culture with broadcast audiences. McGrady continues to focus on youth mentorship, leadership, and community engagement, contributing to the ongoing development of basketball and sports culture.
