
Tovah Feldshuh is a celebrated actress, author, and singer, honored with six Emmy and Tony Award nominations and three honorary Doctorates of Humane Letters. Over her distinguished career, she has received numerous accolades for her theatrical work, including four Drama Desk Awards, four Outer Critics Circle Awards, three Dramalogues, the Obie, the Theatre World Award, and both the Helen Hayes and Lucille Lortel Awards for Best Actress. Most recently, Feldshuh garnered dual nominations for Best Actress in a Drama in Los Angeles for originating the role of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in "Sisters-in-Law."
On Broadway, her credits include iconic performances in "Funny Girl" (as Rosie Brice), "Yentl," "Cyrano," "Rodgers & Hart," "Dreyfus in Rehearsal," "Sarava!" "Lend Me a Tenor," "Golda’s Balcony," "Irena’s Vow," and the high-flying role of Berthe in "Pippin." Off-Broadway and in regional theater, she has starred in a wide range of productions, from portraying historical figures like Golda Meir and Dr. Ruth Westheimer to comedic and dramatic roles in "The Prompter," "The Soap Myth," and "WINDOWS." Her one-woman show "Becoming Dr. Ruth" has earned critical acclaim through multiple developmental productions.
On television, Feldshuh is widely recognized for her roles as Deanna Monroe on "The Walking Dead," Danielle Melnick on "Law & Order," Pauline Mackenzie on "Salvation," Naomi Bunch on "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend," and Miryam in HBO’s "Scenes from a Marriage." She has also appeared in "Harlan Coben's Shelter" for Amazon Prime and will star in Netflix’s "Nobody Wants This" as Bina Roklov.
Her film work includes "Kissing Jessica Stein" (Golden Satellite Award), "A Walk on the Moon," "Golda’s Balcony The Film"—which won 25 audience choice awards—"Armageddon Time," "Start Without Me," and "Bleecker."
In concert, Feldshuh’s one-woman shows, including "Tovah is LEONA!" "Aging is Optional," and "Tovah: Out of Her Mind," have earned rave reviews and international acclaim. Her memoir, "Lilyville: Mother, Daughter, and Other Roles I’ve Played," became an Amazon #1 bestseller in Parent-Child Relationships upon its release in 2022.
Feldshuh lives in New York with her husband, attorney Andrew Harris Levy. She is the proud mother of Brandon and Amanda, and grandmother to Rafael Levi, Sidney Mei, Camille Willa, and Amelia.
