Tony Parker

Tony Parker is recognized as one of the leading point guards in NBA history and among the most accomplished European basketball players. Parker began his professional basketball career with Paris Basket Racing in France's Pro A league before joining the San Antonio Spurs, where he was drafted 28th overall. He quickly established himself as the team's floor general, forming a successful trio with Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili. Parker became the youngest player to appear in a game for the Spurs at 19 years, 6 months, and 13 days old.

As the starting point guard, Parker's speed, playmaking, and teardrop shot contributed to the Spurs' four NBA championships. In the NBA Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers, he averaged 24.5 points per game and was named NBA Finals MVP, becoming the first European-born player to earn the honor. Parker was a six-time NBA All-Star and earned four All-NBA selections, including three Second Team and one Third Team honors. He is one of only five players in NBA history to record at least 19,000 points and 7,000 assists, joining Oscar Robertson, John Stockton, Gary Payton, and LeBron James.

Parker's influence extended internationally as he led France to a FIBA EuroBasket Championship, earning tournament MVP, and helped secure a silver medal at the FIBA Basketball World Cup. He received the FIBA European Player of the Year award and was honored by the Spurs with the retirement of his No. 9 jersey. Parker was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, becoming the first French player to receive this distinction.

Beyond his playing career, Parker has been active in basketball management and entrepreneurship. He became the majority shareholder and president of ASVEL, a prominent French basketball team, and has overseen the club's growth in the LNB Élite and EuroLeague. Parker has also served as head coach of LDLC ASVEL and expanded his business interests into sports management, real estate, entertainment, and wine production. Under his leadership, ASVEL played a role in the development of Victor Wembanyama, who was selected first overall by the San Antonio Spurs, continuing the strong connection between French basketball and the NBA franchise.
