Tony Hale is an Emmy Award-winning actor, comedian, producer, and author known for his work in television, film, and animation. Hale gained recognition for his role as Buster Bluth in the Fox series "Arrested Development" and as Gary Walsh on the HBO series "Veep." Prior to these roles, Hale trained as an actor and appeared in television shows such as "Dawson's Creek," "The Sopranos," and "Sex and the City." His national profile increased after appearing in a Volkswagen television commercial featuring the song "Mr. Roboto," which was later referenced in "Arrested Development."

Hale's portrayal of Buster Bluth in "Arrested Development" established him in the comedy genre, contributing to the show's reputation as a satirical depiction of a dysfunctional family. On "Veep," Hale played Gary Walsh, the personal assistant to Vice President-turned-President Selina Meyer, portrayed by Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
