Tomas Leach

Tomas Leach is a British filmmaker, writer, and cinematographer known for his work in documentary film, visual storytelling, and non-fiction cinema. Leach studied at Arts University Bournemouth before attending Fabrica Research Centre in Italy, an experience that influenced his humanistic approach to storytelling. His short documentary films have screened at international festivals, been acquired by multiple television channels, and selected as Vimeo staff picks. Among his early projects, Leach directed the series "Little Scraps of Paper," which explores the creative process of artists and their sketchbooks.

Leach directed his first feature documentary, "In No Great Hurry: 13 Lessons in Life with Saul Leiter," focusing on the photographer Saul Leiter. The film received critical acclaim from publications including The Times and the New York Times, and was named to the Seattle Times top ten list. His subsequent feature, "The Lure," executive produced by Errol Morris, investigates a treasure hunt in the Rocky Mountains and was recognized by outlets such as Vice and Indiewire for its compelling storytelling.

Leach also directed "Through the Darkness," a film about the San Quentin Prison baseball team for the series "Religion of Sports," executive produced by Tom Brady, Michael Strahan, and Gotham Chopra.
