Tom Waddle

Tom Waddle is a former NFL wide receiver known for his tenure with the Chicago Bears. A standout at Boston College, Waddle led the Eagles with 70 receptions in a single season and earned First Team All-East honors. His collegiate achievements were recognized with induction into the Boston College Hall of Fame.

After going undrafted, Waddle signed with the Chicago Bears as a free agent. He played six seasons with the team, recording 173 receptions, 2,109 receiving yards, and nine touchdowns. Waddle's performance in a playoff game against Dallas, where he demonstrated notable toughness, contributed to his selection for John Madden's All-Madden Team and established his reputation in Chicago sports.

Following his NFL career, Waddle transitioned to sports broadcasting. He has worked as an analyst and anchor for FOX 32, WLS ABC 7, and NFL Network. At WGN Radio, he co-hosted the "Sports Central" show with David Kaplan for nine years. Waddle has been a co-host of the "Waddle & Silvy" show on ESPN 1000 in Chicago, alongside Marc Silverman, building a long-running partnership focused on football and sports commentary.

Waddle has also served as a gameday analyst for NFL Network and appeared as a guest analyst on "Colin's New Football Show." He has filled in as a host on "Mike and Mike in the Morning" on ESPN Radio. Drawing on his experience as an undrafted player who secured a roster spot through perseverance, Waddle offers insights that resonate with both dedicated football fans and general sports audiences.
