Tom Smith

Roger Connors and Tom Smith are the principals and founders of Partners In Leadership, LLC. Over the last fourteen years, Partners In Leadership has become a widely respected international leadership and management consulting firm that has implemented Partners In Leadership consulting and training services in a myriad of organizations ranging in size from small "start-ups" to Fortune 500 companies. Their client list includes hundreds of clients in almost all major industries. They have an international presence in several countries and have conducted workshops and consulting engagements throughout the world, including most European countries, Japan, North America, South America, and the Middle East.

They have extensive experience in working with over 100 senior executive teams, as well as with thousands of managers and leaders in a variety of environments in many different industries. Their work includes long-term and short-term consulting engagements (from a few months to five years), speaking engagements, national sales meetings, workshops, and speeches. They have proven to be trusted advisors to senior executives, having personally coached hundreds of managers and leaders.

Roger and Tom have personally assisted scores of management teams in successfully accelerating the transition in their organizations to a Culture Of Accountability. They have significant experience in helping management teams facilitate large scale Cultural Transition. In addition, they have worked with numerous management groups to assist them in building teams and in building greater accountability at all levels in the organization. They are well received as entertaining and provocative speakers as well as being respected facilitators of groups and management teams.

Both hold a Master of Business Administration degree from Brigham Young University. Roger Connors holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Brigham Young University and Tom Smith holds a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from University of California, Irvine. After founding Partners In Leadership over 14 years ago, they have spent the last decade pioneering the implementation of cutting-edge principles and technologies that assist leaders and teams in improving the effectiveness of organizations in achieving their key organizational results. Their varied experience has made them leaders in the struggle of coming to grips with how to create rapid culture change and greater accountability.

They are the authors of the best selling book, The Oz Principle: Getting Results Through Individual And Organizational Accountability. They are also the authors of Journey To The Emerald City: Achieve A Competitive Edge By Creating A Culture Of Accountability. They are currently working on their third book to be published in the year 2004 on executive team building. They have published several articles on management and leadership effectiveness in major publications such as the Journal of Business Strategy and Corporate University Review. They have also appeared on such television programs as: CNBC "Power Lunch," OCN-TV "Prime Story," and KWHY-TV (Los Angeles) "Market Talk." Their radio broadcasts include Business Radio Network, UPI, and Voice of America.

Roger and Tom are members of the Institute of Management Consultants, the Society for Human Resource Management, and the American Society for Training & Development.

Roger and his wife, Gwen, have five children, and live in Alpine, UT. Tom and his wife, Becky, have eight children, and live in Murrieta, California.
