Tom Fitton

Tom Fitton serves as president of Judicial Watch, a public interest group focused on investigating and prosecuting government corruption. Under Fitton's leadership, Judicial Watch has expanded its efforts in government transparency, utilizing Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, public records lawsuits, civil litigation, and public advocacy to hold government agencies and officials accountable.

Fitton is recognized as an expert in government corruption, immigration enforcement, congressional and judicial ethics, and open government. He frequently appears as a commentator on national media, including ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, FOX News Channel, C-SPAN, and MSNBC. Fitton contributes columns to outlets such as Breitbart.com and Newsmax, and his opinion pieces have appeared in FoxNews.com and The Washington Times.

Fitton is the author of several books, including the New York Times bestseller "The Corruption Chronicles," as well as "A Republic Under Assault" and "Clean House." He served as executive producer of the documentary "District of Corruption."

Fitton received the Defender of the Constitution Award from the American Conservative Union at CPAC. He has testified before Congress and is recognized internationally for his expertise in government oversight and transparency. Fitton was appointed to the D.C. Commission on Judicial Disabilities and Tenure by President Trump.

Fitton is known for his criticism of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election and has advocated for its termination. He also disputes the scientific consensus on climate change, and under his leadership, Judicial Watch has filed lawsuits involving climate science.

Fitton holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from George Washington University.
