Tom Conrad

Tom Conrad is a consumer technology executive whose career spans more than three decades, focusing on product development in music, media, and technology. Conrad began his career at Apple, contributing to the foundational user interface of the Macintosh. He later held engineering leadership positions at companies including Berkeley Systems, Relevance Technologies, Documentum, and Pets.com. Conrad also served as technical director for the video game series "You Don't Know Jack."

A significant chapter in Conrad's career was at Pandora, where he served as chief technology officer and executive vice president of product. He was among the original creators of the music streaming service, leading the development of Pandora's personalized music experience and helping the company scale to tens of millions of users. Conrad and his team developed a Pandora app for iPhone ahead of the official SDK release, making Pandora the first internet radio app available on the App Store.

After Pandora, Conrad held product leadership roles in the technology sector. He served as chief product officer at Quibi, a short-form streaming service, and as vice president of product at Snap Inc., where he oversaw product innovations that contributed to Snapchat's position in the social media industry. Conrad later became chief executive officer of Zero Longevity Science, leading growth for its subscription digital health platform.

Conrad has served on the Sonos board of directors and stepped in as interim CEO during a period of organizational transition. During his tenure, Sonos made progress in software quality and product experience, introduced new software enhancements to flagship products such as "Sonos Ace" and "Arc Ultra," and improved company performance. The Sonos board subsequently appointed Conrad as permanent CEO. His focus includes restoring the quality of Sonos software, strengthening the leadership team, and integrating hardware, software, and design into a unified platform for home audio technology.
