Todrick Hall

Todrick Hall first came to the public's attention during his stint on the ninth season of "American Idol." His talents extended beyond singing, as evidenced by his roles as a resident choreographer and judge on "RuPaul's Drag Race," starting from season eight. Hall's performance repertoire expanded to the Broadway stage, where he starred as Lola in "Kinky Boots" between 2016 and 2017, as Billy Flynn in "Chicago" on Broadway and in the West End, and as Ogie in "Waitress" on Broadway in 2019. His work in the music industry extended beyond performing, as he released four studio albums, including the visual albums "Straight Outta Oz" and "Forbidden." His creative endeavors also led to collaborations with prominent artists, including Beyoncé, for whom he choreographed the roller-disco video "Blow."

As a multi-faceted artist, Hall expanded his influence across various platforms, including YouTube, where he amassed a following through original songs, parodies, and skits. A documentary series about his video-making process, "Todrick," aired on MTV in 2015. In 2020, as the world grappled with the COVID-19 pandemic, Hall released an EP titled "Quarantine Queen" and served as the international host of Global Pride 2020. Hall's contributions to the arts were also marked by his involvement with the musical "Burlesque" in 2024, where he served as a co-composer, lyricist, director, and choreographer for its West End transfer in 2025.

In addition to his work in music, dance, and television, Hall's accomplishments include his contributions to the soundtrack for Disneyland's "Magic Happens" parade and his appearance in the documentary "Todrick Hall: Behind the Curtain."
