Todd Frazier

Todd Frazier is a former professional baseball third baseman known for his progression from Little League standout to Olympic silver medalist. Frazier first gained national attention at age 12 when he played for the Toms River East American Little League All-Star team at the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. In the championship game against Japan, Frazier went 4-for-4 with a leadoff home run and was the winning pitcher, leading his team to a 12-9 victory and the world title.

Frazier continued his baseball career at Rutgers University, where he was named Big East Player of the Year and set records in home runs, runs scored, walks, doubles, and total bases. He was selected 34th overall by the Cincinnati Reds in the MLB Draft and made his major league debut with the team. Frazier was named the MLB Players Association's National League Outstanding Rookie and earned consecutive All-Star selections. He won the MLB All-Star Home Run Derby at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, becoming the second player to win the competition in his home ballpark and the first Little League World Series alumnus to win the event. Over 11 MLB seasons with the Cincinnati Reds, Chicago White Sox, New York Yankees, Texas Rangers, New York Mets, and Pittsburgh Pirates, Frazier recorded 218 home runs and 640 RBIs.

Frazier also represented the United States internationally, playing for the U.S. collegiate national team at the World University Baseball Championship and later for the U.S. national team at the Tokyo Olympics. He contributed a 4-for-4 performance, including a solo home run, in the qualifying victory over Venezuela that secured Team USA's Olympic berth. The U.S. team went on to win the silver medal at the Tokyo Games.

Frazier remains involved in baseball and his community. The Little League complex in Toms River, New Jersey, was named Frazier Field House in his honor, and he continues to mentor young athletes. Frazier's career, spanning Little League, Major League Baseball, and Olympic competition, highlights his experience in professional baseball, youth sports development, and international competition.
