Tinlicker Biography
Tinlicker is a Dutch electronic music act from Utrecht that blends progressive house, melodic techno, and indie-electronic songwriting. Formed by Micha Heyboer and Jordi van Achthoven — later joined by vocalist Hero Baldwin — the group evolved from Heyboer’s solo project into an internationally recognized act inspired by artists like Paul Kalkbrenner, Trentemøller, and Moderat. Their releases on labels including Mau5trap, Armada, Anjunadeep, and [PIAS] helped establish their signature melodic, emotionally driven sound.
Tinlicker gained global attention with their debut album This Is Not Our Universe and the billion-streaming single “Because You Move Me,” earning support from outlets such as Billboard, DJ Mag, BBC Radio 1, and SiriusXM. Their third album, Cold Enough for Snow, featured collaborations with Brian Molko, Tom Smith, and Circa Waves, and was named Album of the Year by Dancing Astronaut.
Known for incorporating live instrumentation and introspective songwriting into electronic music, Tinlicker has performed at major festivals including Coachella, Tomorrowland, Creamfields, Ultra, and Sziget.
