Tink

Trinity Laure'Ale Home, known professionally as Tink, is an American singer, rapper, and songwriter recognized for her fusion of R&B melodies and hip-hop influences. Tink began singing in church at age 5, started writing songs at 11, and was producing music and rapping in her father's basement studio by 15. At 16, she and her brother posted a clip of her freestyling online, which generated local attention. Her career began with the release of the mixtape "Winter's Diary" while she was in high school, followed by "Alter Ego" and "Blunts & Ballads."

Tink's early mixtapes attracted industry attention. Her mixtape "Winter's Diary 2: Forever Yours" was named among the top R&B albums of the year by Rolling Stone and Billboard. She signed with record producer Timbaland's Mosley Music Group, an imprint of Epic Records, to release her debut single, "Treat Me Like Somebody." Her follow-up single, "Million," an update of Aaliyah's "One in a Million," reached number 38 on Billboard's R&B/hip-hop chart. Tink was also selected as part of the XXL Freshman Class, highlighting her as a notable new voice in hip-hop.

Tink faced a setback when her major-label debut album, "Think Tink," was completed but not released. She spent nearly two years negotiating her release from a contract without a scheduled album launch, eventually becoming an independent artist. She established Winter's Diary as her own imprint under Empire and has released full-length projects consistently. Following this period, Tink emerged as a consistent presence in contemporary R&B.

As an independent artist, Tink has developed a prolific catalog. After releasing her first EP, "Pain & Pleasure," her debut full-length album "Hopeless Romantic" arrived, followed by "Heat of the Moment," which peaked at number 54 on the Billboard 200. Her album "Pillow Talk," featuring the single "Cater" with rapper 2 Chainz and produced by Hitmaka, reached number 25 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. Her fourth studio album, "Thanks 4 Nothing," was described as a break-up song cycle. Singles such as "Cut It Out" and "Bottom Bitch" have earned gold RIAA certifications.

"Winter's Diary 5," the fifth edition of her ongoing series, reached the Billboard 200, featuring tracks like the ballad "Charged Up" and a collaboration with Summer Walker on "Songs About U." Tink has also toured nationally, serving as an opener for Jhene Aiko's The Magic Hour tour. Often compared to artists such as Lauryn Hill and Da Brat for her ability to both sing and rap, Tink continues to demonstrate artistry rooted in honesty, resilience, and creative independence, contributing to the evolution of R&B and hip-hop music.
